Introduction to Vision and Robotics (IVR)

Response to 2015/16 survey feedback.

We have taken note of the feedback from students in this course survey, and have the following comments in response. Below are combined responses for both distance and local students

  • The students requested more specific instruction about precisely what is required for the assignment. We will provide this.
  • We have mad a great effort to improve the interface between the DICE computers and the robot (using ev3dev and python) for 2016/17.
  • We recognise the feedback about the inverted class approach such as the review lectures. A limitation is that these review lectures should not contain additional examinable material outside of what is presented in the video lectures. In the coming year the class will have more in-class tutorials/quizzes. In general the video lectures were seen as a great resource for learning.
