Please complete the following form if you would like the School of Informatics to purchase travel to the on-campus offer holder events on your behalf.
You are eligible to receive free rail travel to our event. Rail tickets will be booked on your behalf by the School of Informatics and the University's travel company 'Diversity Travel' using the information you provide in this form. Tickets will be booked from your departure station of choice to Edinburgh Waverley. If you need to travel by alternative means, please contact Suzanna Xu (infcomms@ed.ac.uk) to make arrangements.
Tickets will generally be open return tickets to allow you some flexibility in your travel plans, however in some cases we may need to book you onto specific trains. This is particularly true if travelling from outside of Scotland. We will be in touch to the email address you provide below if further coordination is required, so please make sure you submit an email that is checked regularly. If we do not hear back from you, we will have to go ahead and book travel without your preferences considered.
Remember that this form is to book travel only, and you will still need to book your space on the offer holder event. Once we have confirmation of your place from our booking team, we will then process your travel request. You can expect to receive information about your travel in the week leading up to the event at the very latest.
Lastly, please note that this travel is available for offer holders only, and unfortunately does not include any accompanying guests you may be bringing to the event with you.
Tickets will need to be collected from a ticket machine at a train station. Information about collecting your ticket, including confirmation codes, will be sent to the email address provided below.
In some limited cases, there is no option for ticket collection at a station, and in this case we will consider other alternatives to ensure you receive your ticket.
When applying for for travel to attend one of our offer holder events, we collect and store the information you provide in this form. This information is used by us to make practical arrangements for the day, and we will retain the data you provide until (no later than) one year following the date of the visit.
By submitting this form, you consent to us using the data provided in order to book your travel. Please note that the information provided in this form will also be shared with our travel booking company, 'Diversity Travel'.
