Permissions for taking photos/filming

Guidelines and contact details for photographing and filming in Informatics venues or at Informatics events

Please contact your appropriate level admin office or the School Office in the first instance if you wish to take photos/film in any of the Informatics buildings.

Make sure you have a legal basis for taking photos.

This may not apply to crowd photos, where you can’t identify individuals, photos taken by individuals for private use, which are not part of University business.

Informatics-related photography and filming

Permission will be granted to any research or student-related photography and filming in the Forum, conducted by Informatics staff members, or on their behalf, and featuring the building itself, objects in the building (unless third party permission required e.g. with regards to equipment belonging to third parties) and members of staff if ensured GDPR regulations are complied with.

Please check our GDPR guidelines regarding photography or contact Informatics Communications Team if you have more queries.
