Transferable Skills Training

Transferable Skills information relevant to students in the Robotics & Autonomous Systems CDT programme.

Transferable Skills

All CDT students are encouraged to attend the Transferable Skills training sessions hosted by the University's Institute for Academic Development (IAD). These courses are designed to help postgraduate students acquire and develop skills transferable to research and future employment.

Informatics-specific courses and sign-up information can be found at:

Recommended Training Sessions for PGR Students

Please note, the "How to Write an Informatics PhD Proposal" refers to the first-year review document, which all PhD students (CDTs included) must complete. Students in the CDT in Data Science should not confuse this with the Proposal required after the MSc year.

The "Introduction to Research Funding" course is recommended for 2nd or 3rd year CDT students in preparation for writing fellowship applications or to be involved in research grant proposals for post-doctoral work.

A full list of IAD Courses can be found on the A-Z Course List.
