MEMMO project winner of Étoiles de l’Europe

Horizon 2020 MEMMO project awarded the 12 stars of Europe 2022

The European H2020 MEMMO (Memory of Motion) project won the Étoiles de l’Europe prize, awarded at a prestigious ceremony event in the Musée du quai Branly, which took place on 6th December 2022.

Spanning over a four year period, the project comprised of 10 European partners bringing together experts in machine learning, optimisation, control and robot design. The project led to the development of three industrial demonstrators; a humanoid robot in a factory of the future setting, a quadraped to explore civil engineering structures, and an exoskeleton to allow paraplegic patients to walk.

Professor Sethu Vijayakumar attended the event representing the University of Edinburgh.
