The first formal workshop as part of a wider UK government announcement relating to new scientific collaborations between UK and Japan.
The first formal workshop as part of a wider UK government announcement relating to new scientific collaborations between UK and Japan in the fields of robotics, AI and the ethical use of data, was hosted by Professor Sethu Vijayakumar in September. This event attracted over 200 participants.
The workshop, which was held on 17-18 September at the University of Edinburgh, brought together leading researchers from UK and Japan to help identify collaboration topics and establish a firm basis for future joint activities.
Following the workshop in Edinburgh, an industry workshop was held in London on 19 September to engage appropriate private sector partners in supporting joint projects. Details of the event are summarised at the Turing blog.
Co-organised by The Alan Turing Institute and The Edinburgh Centre for Robotics.
