Abstract

Robots, exoskeletons, and other assistive technologies have huge potential to help society in domains ranging from factory work to healthcare. However, safe and effective control of robots in these scenarios is complex, especially when it involves close interactions with humans. In this paper, we propose a framework for optimising robot behaviour in triadic collaboration scenarios comprising a mix of humans, robots and other technological agents. Initial results from our framework are promising, indicating the potential to significantly improve outcome measures for humans in robot-assisted tasks.
