Governance Node Seminar - Glenn McGarry, University of Nottingham

In this talk we share the findings of fieldwork that aims to understand TAS governance challenges when confronted with current practices. We engaged with professionals in the high-risk domains of the automotive industry and medicine to explore the practical and legal issues that early adopters of automated systems face. We will conclude with a discussion on whether unfolding legal frameworks address these challenges, and if intelligent solutions that ‘learn on the job’ are a realistic prospect in high-risk domains.
