Abstract:

So you think you know Boolean algebra?  I will start by explaining why Boole himself doesn't think so, and you should consider orthoalgebra instead.  Next, we will see that you can trade orthoalgebra for certain domains by considering Boolean subalgebras: the shape of the parts determines the whole. This leads to a new geometrical way of thinking about orthoalgebras in terms of points, lines, and planes
