Title: Symmetric-key Cryptography and the Properties of Modular Addition

Abstract:

This is an introductory talk on symmetric-key cryptography and block ciphers. We focus, in particular, on the properties of addition modulo $2^n$ as a source of non-linearity in a certain class of block ciphers. We conclude by outlining some problems for future work and collaborate
