• April 2023: NQCC Quantum Software Lab launched: Edinburgh scientists are set to lead a major new research programme to expand the University’s world-leading expertise in quantum computing.
• November 2022: Prof Elham Kashefi appointed NQCC Chief Scientist: This is a key role within the NQCC’s Leadership Team contributing towards shaping and influencing the future UK quantum computing landscape, and meeting the strategic aims of the National Quantum Technologies Programme (NQTP).
• November 2022: Quantum Advantage Pathfinder project: The QAP is the core research programme in the NQCC Quantum Software Laboratory. It is a multi-disciplinary project involving physicists, mathematicians, engineers and computer scientists.
