The British Council organised the 'GREAT Talk' session on 'Machine Learning for Next-generation Robotics,' exploring pivotal aspects of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence on Feb 11, 2024 at the British Council, 5 Fuller Road, Dhaka. The speaker, Sethu Vijayakumar, Professor of Robotics at Edinburgh University and Programme Director at The Alan Turing Institute, London, UK, talked about the Changing Paradigms, Advanced Machine Learning and Autonomy-Control Trade-off in his talk. Kazi Hassan Robin, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, World University of Bangladesh, moderated the session.

Professor Vijayakumar conducted additional seminars and demonstrations at British Council, Sylhet on Feb 13 and BRAC University, Dhaka on Feb 14, 2024.

'GREAT Talk' is a lecture series that celebrates UK professionals from diverse areas, including technology, arts, film, scientists, science communicators, environment, design and creative industries, sports, space, and politics. It is a part of the GREAT Campaign, the UK government's initiative to promote the UK internationally as a GREAT place to visit, study, and do business.
