Professor Vijayakumar delivers Opening Keynote at AI Conference Nepal

AI for Prosperous Nepal conference on 3 March 2024

Professor Vijayakumar delivered the Opening Keynote at the AI for Prosperous Nepal conference on March 3, 2024.

On the invitation of the UK Embassy in Nepal, UK FCDO, The Asia Foundation and organised by the Robotics Association of Nepal, Professor Vijayakumar was involved in developing an AI roadmap for development and delivery of AI and Robotics technology in Nepal and other developing countries on behalf of The Alan Turing Institute.

The conference was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Nepal and had representation by the UK Ambassador to Nepal, the UKaid agency, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) and National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST).

Sethu had further meetings with the Chamber of Commerce in Nepal as well UK Embassy in Kathmandu and NAST to help create a programme of delivery for UKaid in Nepal in the field of Digital Technology.
