Turing UK-Italy Robotics and AI research collaboration workshop

The Alan Turing Institute in the UK and the key Italian academic organisations working in Robotics and AI, aim to explore collaboration opportunities between the two countries.  The workshop took place on the 1st March in Rome at the residence of the British Ambassador, Villa Wolkonsky. The workshop brought together leading researchers in AI and Robotics from Italy and the United Kingdom. 

The Italian organisations initially involved in this activity are CINI-AIIS, (Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale per Informatica - Laboratorio Nazionale di Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems), Artes 4.0 (Centro di Competenza ad Alta Specializzazione in Industria 4.0 e Robotica) and IIT (Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia).

This first workshop aims to help identify the existing collaboration landscape and research priority topics for future joint funding opportunities.

The event is organised and sponsored by The Alan Turing Institute, the UK Government Science and Innovation Network of the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office.
