Vision Zero Summit Japan 2022

Professor Sethu Vijayakumar presents a talk on 'Shared Autonomy for Dependable Human Robot Interactions'

The Vision Zero Summit Japan 2022 took place on 11-13 May 2022.  The event consisted of 16 technical sessions presenting innovative solutions to a wide range of topics including redefining safety, health and wellbeing for the New Normal.

In the session 'AI/ICT & digitization' chaired by Professor Yoshiki Seo on the 13 May, the panel were invited to discuss how artificial intelligence is evolving in the workplace and how to overcome the difficulties in managing AI quality, with a special focus on the relationship between AI quality management and the Vision Zero concept (i.e. AI embedded robots working together with humans). As part of the session, Professor Sethu Vijayakumar was invited to present his findings on 'Shared Autonomy for Dependable Human Robot Interactions'.
